Artist Statement

I chase the minutes when the world softens — the last pink hour over still water, mist lifting from a marsh, horses grazing beneath a gathering storm. Each piece begins as a photograph and is slowly worked by hand until it feels less like a record and more like a memory.

The Artist

Brian Glenn

A photographer by training and a painter at heart, Brian builds each image in two acts.

The first happens outdoors — waiting, sometimes for hours, for the light to turn. The second happens in the studio, where brushwork, texture and colour are layered over the photograph until the scene carries the warmth he felt standing there.

The result sits somewhere between photograph and painting: honest to place, generous with feeling. His work hangs in private homes, boutique hotels and corporate collections across the country.
